Climbing from Rig to Rock
We use eye bolts as anchors when working at height, or as an anchor point for escape from a high point in an emergency. All eye bolts used conform to EN795.
All installation is completed to EN7883. This covers the installation of fixed or temporary eyebolts for the use of rope access, work restraint and fall arrest. Eye bolt anchors can be installed on roofs and areas where no other temporary anchor solutions are possible.
Eye bolts used for rope access method are to be inspected for use every 6 months. Load testing can be applied in various methods to ensure the anchors conform to 6kN.
Eye bolts used for fall arrest or work restraint systems are to be inspected every 12 months.
